Hi! I'm Nana, the founder of Sawasdee Crepe. 👋🥞
I grew up in Thailand, where one of my favorite childhood memories was buying crispy crepes from a little stand behind my school while waiting for my parents to pick me up. I would even save part of my lunch money just so I could enjoy one after class. Those crepes were simple, delicious, and always something I looked forward to.
Years later, after moving abroad to study and work, I found myself craving those same crispy crepes. But they became harder to find, and whenever I ordered them for delivery, they often arrived soft and chewy instead of light and crispy.
So I decided to make my own.
I spent months testing recipes and perfecting my baking process to recreate the crispy crepes I remembered from childhood. The result is a crepe that stays crispy longer and delivers that satisfying crunch I fell in love with as a kid. Because let's be honest — nobody gets excited about a sad, floppy crepe. We all want that first crispy bite!
What started as a fun family project quickly became a passion. Today, my family operates our original crepe business in Thailand, while I'm excited to share Sawasdee Crepe here in Clarksville, Tennessee.
When I'm not making crepes, I'm a full-time mom of two and a student at Austin Peay State University pursuing a degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Data Science. My husband works full-time and has been my biggest supporter through this adventure. Sawasdee Crepe truly is a family dream.
And if you're wondering about the name — "Sawasdee Crepe" is a little play on the Thai greeting "Sawasdee Krub" (สวัสดีครับ), which means "hello." We just couldn't resist changing it to "Sawasdee Crepe!" It makes us smile every time we say it — and we hope it makes you smile too. 😊
My goal is simple: to share a little piece of my childhood with the Clarksville community. Whether you're trying a crispy Thai-style crepe for the first time or introducing one to your kids, I hope it brings as much joy to your family as it has to mine.
Thank you for stopping by, and welcome to Sawasdee Crepe! 💛
